Are the standard Gold Severums still around? All I see now are the red and super reds. I used to keep them a while ago and they were a beuatiful uniform yellow-gold color with red fins. None of this red on their body. I wouldn't mind getting one again, but just haven't seen them around for a long time.

really? I would think they are more common than reds. I found greens and golds at petco several months ago for a couple bucks. They look great now that they have some size on them.

Golds should be fairly easy to find. I still see them all the time. However, a good quality male will have red spotting on the body. That's true of green severums too, it's just more noticeable on the golds. Their base color should still be a nice butter yellow color.

I know the males look really nice with the red spots.
