Anyone have pics and information on them. I have a 6 inch female and would like to get some more information on them. Where are they from, what the difference is between them and red tigers etc, etc.....The body shape seems to be more elongated but the pattern is identical except the face gets a black mask when angry or breeding in females.

They are basically your everyday Motaguense. Red Tigers are just a color varient. They should be kept in the same conditions as most Parachromis species. Mota's are from Central america and located throughout it like Nicaragua, Hondura's, etc etc. They are found in slow flowing rivers. There are no structural differences between Red Tigers and Regular Motas. Their bodies are a like and the only thing that I could see different is the lower jaw. On red tigers the jaw looks more like a Jag and the Regular Mota's having a more blunter jaw.
