I've seen the golds both as juvies, and as adults in my LFS.. They go for about the same price as the regular JD's. They just don't seem all that spectacular to me.. Do they show any more color when they're comfortable? I'll keep my Fluffy. :)

this is not a gold it is a cross between a gold and a blue ebjd i know its not a great pic but you can see the blue in his fins and around the scales theres ony i guy ive seen to breed themin got these last yr as babies but yes there is such a thing

It looks like a gold JD to me too.
Sometimes it takes a pair a few time before they get it right.
They get super stressed/scared the 1st few times, & will usually eat the eggs because of this.
THey also eat the bad eggs/fungused so that they don't spoil the good eggs.
Don't worry it will happen in time, as long as you have a proven pair.

so what constitutes a gold ebjd? I mean dont they have alot of them gold high lights.
my guy does it the avatar

i just gave 5 of those guys away today. 2 pairs and 3rd male.

from what was posted by the breeder, its looks like a more washed out yellowish ebjd.
