Golden channel cat tank size

Ok so my local fish store has a small golden channel cat that looks awesome and I really want it but what tank size do I need I know they get big.

Channel catfish 30" 20-40 lbs
rtc 45" 100 + lbs

Buy still a channel will need a large tank if not a pond.
