Well, ive read all your threads about dats, and seem to have taken a liking to them and have heard nothing but good things about them... sooo i was actually thinking about buying one. BUT as with all my fish i don't buy unless i know they will be happy. So, i was wondering if i could keep a single gold dat in a 90 gallon tank with a tiger oscar, and a green severum... (green severum soon to be sold) the tank dimensions are.... 49"L 20"W 22"T

Thanks. :D

you will be fine for a long time. as you have read, they are really slow growers. just watch out for other predators that will dramatically outgrow the dat, such as your oscar. he might eat your dat one day

hmm, well alright if my oscar starts getting to big, ill throw him in a separate tank... thanks :D

Oscar may be very helpful training the datnoids accepting a variety of food. But the bad thing is they can outgrow your datnoid in a short amount of time, so be careful.
