Golden Dorado in Aus?

Hi anyone who maybe reading this,

I am naturally a River Monsters fan, and watched the recent ep where Jeremy goes after some Golden Dorado. I loved them, awesome fish, and dont get too huge, well compared to a gator gar or an arapaima.

In Aus we are Ridonkulously restricted in what we can own.

I cannot find this fish on the Noxious Fish list, I cannot find it on the allowable imports list, and I cannot find it on the grey list,

Anyone ever heard or seen these fish in the aquarium trade in Aus?

I cant even seem to find them on like liveaquaria etc. (Not that they'd ship here anyway.)

Anyone got any knowledge at all on these fish in Aus?

Not sure if you are aware of it or not but the Golden Dorado is a characin and I can imagine most large growing predatory characins being banned in your country.

Thanks for the reply mate, I was aware of that, but not terribly familiar with the genus/family. I have tried to search our banned lists for Characins, and there are some. But no Golden Dorado.

Incidentally, top marks for having a Boyd Crowder quote in your sig. That dude is awesome.
