Oh yeah, and it is in a community tank with things like guppies, platies, neons, cories, rainbowsharks, black skirt tetras, a glass cat, a male swordtail, and a hatchet.
run a search on killifish breeding. but i think they need a breeding sponge to lay the eggs on. then you take it out and dry it for a couple of weeks and then put it back in water and they will hatch. i also think they wont spawn unless the water gets really low.
No it isn't an annual species. There eggs don't need to be removed. I know that much. And now know that they like a spawning mop or Java Moss. Do you think that the other fish would hunt out the eggs?
I am a killifish breeder, they breed more and more often in a smaller tank. Set the temperature to about 77 is where I keep mine. MAKE SURE to feed them live foods to condition them. Drop a spawning mop in there and you should get a batch of eggs daily.
