Hi,
I have 8 of these snails in my tank, and as you may know, they lay their eggs in a way that sticks to the side of the tank. Today I saw one of them doing his normal algae eating routine need the eggs, and he eat them up.

Is that normal?

Considering they can’t see, I doubt it even knew!
Or it’s possible they weren’t viable so it was cleaning it up.

Most Snails have light receptors, but no real eyes (like a cephalopod would have). Though some snails may (don’t remember which ones for sure, but I don’t think mystery snails are one of them). The feelers and light receptors give an idea of surroundings, but I doubt enough to tell algae from eggs.
Maybe someone with more mystery snail expertise can chime in though (the only freshwater snails I have currently are pond and ramshorn).
I think Ulu Ulu may
