Looking into getting a FH but wondering where i can get a Golden monkey or Red monkey FH! Any good places would be a great help!

do you know what these fish look like?

Good luck getting either one...the closest to a GM you will get is from Flowerhornsfrombeyond aka Julie with the KGM. Not sure if they are still available but you can try and contact her. She may be a tough person to get a hold of due to many inquires and all of the customers fish waiting in line. With a Red Monkey, good luck...rare as finding a lost dollar on the street. Especially due to the current Thailand flood...

You could probably find quite a few lost dollars on the street before seeing a nice red monkey for sale, the good ones are either high dollar or being held for breeding most times. I guess it depends mostly on budget as to how likely it is to get one.

dont these go for thousands of $$$. I got a lsf imported " AAA+" 7 inch fish because could not find for love nor money and got my pants pulled down over the price because of it and still couldnt locate this type ended with a thai silk be interested if you found a contact

wow man im sorry to hear that.. I mean i dont need a AAA or extremely high quality GM or RM i just like the general look, pattern, and body shape of them. Especially the colors of the pic i posted. It is very different from all of the flowerhorns that i see around here in my LFS lol

I think GM RM are super grade FHs with insane price tags if you can find them , i tried with importers and good lfs but it seems mixed unidentified fH's is what we mainly get except thai silks zz's. At least in the states your type breeds seem to be more true KK's etc good luck

Red monkey come up for sale on aquabid sometimes. though they are very rare they seem to be coming back into vogue so to speak. you will have to pay at least 300 for a red one... and I would personally never buy an "un faded" one (even though they dont really "fade" in the traditional sense) as you will never know if it will turn red and could just be blowing a lot of money.
Most recently fengshui aquatic in thailand had one for sale they were calling a "firey phoenix". they didn't call it a monkey but i asked and nate told me it was red monkey genetic mostly. it was going for 250

Ah the good ole days. I remember I had an eastern maiden from Bill of Flowerhornimports when I see that picture. Quality of fish nowaday is not what it use to be as not many breeders are breeding them like they use to when FH were hot.
