lol...thanks but I would say a good part of the users here are proficient with Asian aros. Realistically, at 6.5inches it would be difficult to say unless it is an exceptional specimen. We define xbacks here in the east as having full pearls, 6 level shine, full crossing where ever possible & tail coloration to a certain extent. However, having said that, there are very high quality highback RTGs that also exhibit pearls. Therefore it would be safe to say that to have a accurate id., one must wait for the fish to reach 12". Perhaps a photo would help.

Perhaps some of my pics would help. The photos below are of 2 juv. xbacks of quite good quality. Both fishes are about 6" & as evident from the slight hump on the head are quite young. Both at the size mentioned are already developing pearlies & have a good shine minimum up to the 5th level with indications of good progress to the 6th.
