First off, sorry about the quality of the pics. It's bad enough my camera is a P.O.S. but now my water is all murky from having to move my rocks earlier to make sure the other toadfish was still alive. Anyways, I have 2 gulf oyster toadfish (Opsanus beta) in with 5 goldfish, 4 shabunkins, 1 violet goby, 1 common pleco, 1 apple snail, a few crabs, and a bunch of ghost shrimp.

And to those that say goldfish are boring, I did have 3 toadfish but the goldfish killed one of them!:screwy:

In case you don't see him look at the bottom of the tank.

One of these days I'm gonna teach my kids to quit touching the glass:swear:

cool pics was the lo on it when you got it

The LO just showed up about a week ago. I think he/she/it may have scraped off a few scales swimming through the oyster shells. The goldfish were about an inch when I got them. "LO" is now about 5". She's the biggest goldie in there. The shabunkin range from 4" - 6".

The water is mostly salt. It was already fairly brackish for my goby. I caught the toadfish last weekend and just upped the salt a little more. I was mostly worried about how Gary (the snail) would handle it but he seems to be just fine! I'm not sure how well the toadfish are eating though. I've been throwing chunks of shrimp in there for them but the goldfish attack it before it can even hit the bottom. I have some squid in the freezer. I may cut some of that up and see if they eat it.

And Ming I don't know how you got that pic of your goldie last night. Mine won't stay in one spot for more than 2 seconds. Maybe the salt is giving them ADHD. lol

Thats so wierd. Its a perfect "LO"

Thats cool.

Well I found out that my big toadfish has been eating. When I had to move all the rocks yesterday I didn't remember seeing my goby. Well this morning I was looking at my aquarium and saw about a 3" white looking fishstick floating around. :( I guess it's to be expected though.

On a side note, I put some pieces of squid in there last night and the goldfish attacked that too. It was kinda funny. The squid was too long for them so you just see them swimming around with strings of squid hanging out. lol
