Goldfish and Snails

Are they compatible? I have a 20 gallon high tank with 2 fantail goldfish. I need something that will eat up algae and leftover food. Plecos and most algae eaters are major no nos for goldfish as they kill the goldies.

I have an apple snail with my goldies and they seem to be fine with each other. I also have a 10" common pleco in there with them. If you want to use a pleco just make sure he's fat and happy and you shouldn't have any problems with him sucking the slimecoat off your goldfish.

I have goldfish in my 75gal for cycling along with some snails they seem to be fine they will play with the snails some times but nothing to big

But will my tank then be overstocked?

I also have apple snails in with my goldfish and they are just fine.
