Hi I have 3 common goldfish I bought as feeders for my bichirs and they did not eat three and for weeks two have been chasing one goldfish vigorously and now the two that chased the "female" I am guessing are sitting both by a plant like they are watching eggs. Is that so? And will my other fish eat the young goldfish? I have 5 Knifefish under 7' two bichirs my biggest is 7' two pictus catfish under 5' and a 6' shove nose catfish.

Goldfish are egg scatterers, they don't guard, or pay attention to eggs after they are dropped, other than they will eat them almost as fast as they are put down.
And yes your other fish will probably eat the young goldfish too.
In my pond, the goldfish would spawn many times throughout the summer, scattering thousands upon thousands of eggs. The eggs would end up on top of lily pads and on rocks outside the water, and are visible if you look hard enough.
At the end of summer, if 12-15 of the young survived, that was a lot.

Here's a short video of my goldfish breeding, if you look close you can see where eggs have been splashed onto lily pads, and see other goldfish and koi eating the eggs as fast as they are put down.

That's good but are my goldfish trying to breed?

You can see in my video, when the female is gravid, the males will try to push the female out of the water (between the half submerged flower pot and edge of pond). In nature carp will gather in weedy, shallow areas, and males will sometimes push the females onto the shore.
If you want to save eggs and fry, try putting spawning mops near the surface, and remove them from the main tank when covered in eggs to a separate hatching/rearing tank, or container.
I can't tell the size and age of yours, but mine didn't start spawning until at least this size. They would always spawn after rain events, and/or large water changes.
