When I feed my bichir feeder guppies, sometimes my goldfish get to the feeders first, which I don't want. Is this bad for their health?

very bad. Goldfish should be fed on a low protein diet. That's why they make tropical flakes and goldfish flakes seperately. Goldfish flakes have less protein because they are mainly vegetarians.

Let's just hope that you goldfish doesn't get constipated and dies.

yes, but even if the staple diet is bloodworms and brine shrimp, it may be too much protein. bloodworms and brine shrimp should only be given as a treat or to induce spawning.

goldfish are vegetarians, they will shred most aquarium plants that you put in there.

Boil a piece of lettuce until it's soft and feed your goldfish with it. It will be good for hte goldfish and can be fed as a staple diet.

de-shelled peas are also good. de-shelled peas help guard against swim bladder disease. If it already has swim bladder disease, there is a goldfish trade secret. ORANGES. small pieces of oranges will cure swim bladder disease. Oranges can also be given as a treat. (oranges should not be used as a staple diet because too much will alter the pH of the water)
