I read that if goldfish gulp too much air when fed floating foods, it causes a problem in their stomache(or somewhere else) causing them to not swim well(?)

but what about the relative; koi? i've seen and you're probably seen alot of koi gasping at the surface for food. does the problem that occurs with goldfish not affect koi?

its mostly with those inbred freaks that are shaped like golf balls . i think its because there organs are packed to close together ? but normal goldfish and koi are fine

my shubunkin is upside down for the last few days because of this. The other fish are fine. I cut back on feeding floating foods and hes doing better.

My one fancy and one comet suck air at the surface time and time again. The rest dont.
