Male ready to breed ;) I owned this guy ;)

It's not worth it unless you can dedicate serious time.

But to start you will need about 4" of water in a nice sized tank... Some yarn mop or other bottom substrate for the eggs to fall into and not be visible for the parents.. best and easiest way in my opino would be to set upa kiddie pool in your yard.. load it with Goldfish of about 3-5 inches right now today.. And when spring roles in you will get a spawn . Problem is the parent SUCK and eat the eggs.. that is why the easiest way is to hav a pond.. OR a kiddie pool.. DIY yarn mops are good!! Cover the bottom. when you see the males chasing the females watch.. and when you see the eggs.. Give it a while.. Then move the fish or transplant the eggs. I forgot where i remember that form.. but it will come and I will lead you to it. this was one of my projects last year. Likely for the same reason..

My project heater went out and was then keeping a block of breeding goldfish :( So i haven't tried since.

So they get zits when they reach maturity huh? I have a feeling mine may have laid eggs and eaten them up already then. So a separate tank is definately required for success? What kinds of parameters?

when the eggs hatch make sure that u have frozen baby brine shrimp, melt them until its liquid and feed them 2 to 3 times a day when they hatch
