i have 2 goldfish. one started losing all of its scales, turned white, and then regrew all of its scales. it turned from a gold golfidh to a lutino one. theother goldfish is still gold and the water parameters are all fine and i do a cleaning every week

is this normal?

How big are they? I have some that are around 7" now. Got them when they were only 1" and haven't seen that yet.

I have a bunch of comets in my pond. I have one that was straight black when I got him and he is now almost completly orange. He never lost any scales. I think what happend is that your other goldfish or maybe another fish in the tank started to pick on that fish. The stress of being picked on probably caused a loss of color. Goldfish are known for having ATLEAST one color change throughout thier lifes.

goldifsh change colors all the time its normal... the ph and how hard the water is depends on what color the fish will turn.. thats why u see some feeders that are goldwhite black silver etc.
