On the goldline does anyone knows if the end of the tail is supposed to be red?
I suspect that it was nipped and If that's the case will it grow back and heal perfect or will it always be an issue?
Thanks!

Not supposed to be red. Likely a nip or injury. Would keep the water clean and should heal up.

Should definitely grow back. South American knifefish are incredibly good at regenerating their tails even after a good size chunk has been bitten off.

Not sure there’s any official growth rates. Should be quick as it can grow big. Will see how it does for u amazontank amazontank !

I was under the impression they were semi-aggressive closer to a black ghost knife then an Aba Aba.
Then I just saw some pics of a smaller one living with Angel Fish and mellow fish. I don't mind keeping him solo but I have some SA Leaf Fish coming in and would love to have them together...

amazontank amazontank I think that'd be a neat idea with the SA Leaf's! Let's see some pics when you get a chance!
