I want to put two goldy pleco together, if my tank is big enough with hiding spots, will the two goldy pleco be fine together or will they seek each other out to fight? I am also thinking about a L191 royal and a L47 mango. Will the L47 and L191 be fine on a hikari cichlid gold and new life spectrum? I heard that L191 are messy, will they eat all my driftwood? How is the appetite on the L47, because my goldy L14 always has a nice big full stomach. And my goldy is really active, how does the L47 and L191 compare to my L14 in terms of activity and appetite?

i find your post very interesting..

1 being the list of plecos you've listed.. i've own them all at one time in the past..

2. I'm a Goldy pleco fan.. so i probably know more about it than most.. I also have 4 goldy.. so i know how they interact..

I see no problem in keeping two goldy pleco together.. or the same family of the Scobinancistrus family together.. I will say however, that tank space and hiding place is must with Goldy. Your best chance in keeping aggression level low is to have enough driftwood as hiding places.. or pleco caves..
Generally.. goldy do not fight each other unless its food or http://www.planetcatfish.com/catelog/scobinancistrus#161mate. The more hiding places you have the better. There will be some fighing.. but only minor.

Although it is FINE FOR THE TIME BEING.. Mixing veggie eaters with Meat eating pleco is VERY DANGEROUS!
Mainly.. Meat eaters are extremely aggressive and if care is not taken.. can result in death... I have lost Goldie plecos to their enemy.. the L-114 Leopard Catus pleco.. L-14 and L-114 do no mix well.. they HATE EACH OTHER!

As for L47 and L-191 diet.. they are similar since they are all veggie eaters.. but all pleco are messy eaters. I wouldnt say that L-191 would eat all the driftwood.. it is part of their diet.. but not their main diet.. they still do eat veggies.

L-14 are very active plecos, but I find L-191 to be very active as well.. Usually at night time.. when plecos do 90% of their feeding... So its not fair to say which is more active.. unless your talking about day time.. I have seen my plecos to be active during both day and night.. but generally night time.

Finally, Goldy pleco should really be paired with other Goldy or more calm pleco.. (e.g. Common pleco, sailfin pleco, green and blue phantom) I wouldn't add another meat eater in the bunch.. just because
Scobinancistrus is a rather peaceful meat eater compare to the Pseudacanthicus family..

Hope this helps.. if you have any questions let me know.. I love plecos more than any other species of fish.. more so than Arowana..
I've also added my personal post on Goldie pleco.. so you'll have an idea on L14 interactions.
