today was my first round of golf since the cold spell we had in Florida . . . the smell of dead fish was everywhere . . . every pond or canal I checked had dead Mayan cichlids and dead catfish (plecos, hoplos, and at least one I couldn't identify)
oddly, every dead fish I saw - - and I saw dozens - - was an adult; I don't think I saw any fish less than 9" long . . .
only living fish I saw were so small - - less than 1" - - that I don't know what they were. most likely were natives species, but that's only a guess
looks like the cold weather has set-back these invasives pretty heavily for a long time to come . . .
