well I have seen a few posts on different boards now of people who have brought home a fish they have caught and I was wondering if this is actually safe to do if you put it into a tank with other fish or would it strictly have to be housed by them selves?

if this is actually safe which I dont think it is then I might be temped to go catch a sunfish in a man* made lake by my house for my 150 as I have traded in my Oscar and Convict and waiting on another Leopard Ctenopoma to be tracked down..

Maybe this is just because I keep alot of natives but IMHO I think that about 90% of the time you are safer introducing wild caught fish than store bought. This is if you are collecting from a healthy source. Like obviously if the fish are clearly just like turning up dead for no reason and stuff don't do it but I think you will be pretty safe. I have done it many times. Also check the fish that you catch there and if none of them seem to have like flukes and leaches on thier bodies and what not your good to go. You should alway quarantine them for atleast a few days though. Same as with any fish you introduce.
