Milky Way Galaxy,
okay so am stacking up 4 wood to make it 3ft tall. (but will only be filled to 2ft). so this is my idea for holding them UP (corners will be a entirely diff story). on the two ends use a LARGE brace connecting the 2 wood together then in the middle use a smaller brace (with 5-10holes [for screws]on one side and another 5-10 on the other connecting the 2woods). the big one looks something like this http://www.homedepot.com/Tools-Hard...splay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 or should i use a smaller but thicker one? - http://www.homedepot.com/Tools-Hard...splay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 .
couldnt find a link for the middle brace but heres a bad exbraace middle.png
this is the look am going for but will be ALOT cleanerbracex.png

and then for the corners (for each corner obiously&for each stack) this is the brace (very similir) i will be using http://www.homedepot.com/Tools-Hard...splay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 or this one, i forgot what it looked like at home depot but both look similir am sure it wont make a diff http://www.homedepot.com/Tools-Hard...splay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
everything will be drilled with decking nails. dimensions will be 8x6x3. so i think my brace idea will hold up dont u? i got an construction builders (ex) opnions on this he said it should be fine. thanks guys

I don't understand what you are trying to do.

I really don't know if what your planning on making will be strong enough to hold water. The stacking of the wood like that makes me very nervous. Why the heck don't you just use one sheet of plywood. Its going to be cheaper and deffinately stronger than your design. Just look up plywood aquariums but just dont put the glass in if you want a pond like above. By the way ,which I am sure you already know, you will have to either use a pond liner or fiberglass/ resin epoxy mix to put inside any of these designs to make it able to hold water.
