I walked in from work today and there was my 11 in Gar hanging out of my RTC's mouth. I quickly pulled him out but his tail and rear fins are tattered. I tried to revive him but he just wanted to float upside down. He still breathes but i dont know for how much longer.

:( srry man
how big is the rct? i imagen it would have to be pretty big to eat a 11in gar

that sucks. maybe he can make a comeback. try to lift his head out of the water every 15-20 minutes.

yes they cannot recover right away even if they could.. they are in shock.. it will take a while .. if you don't see major damage i would give it some time... i know it is hard to go through.. but sometimes they surprise you.good luck
