I have an African Brown Knife about 4" long. Right now, he seems to spend a lot of his day time under an inverted flower pot. It's not a very big pot though, so I think I need to upgrade his housing situation.

What do other people use for their knives? I've seen mention of PVC pipes -- are those ok? Anything else that might be good?

Thanks for any tips!
Joel

PVC pipes, bigger pot, driftwood, stacked rocks, or you can buy "caves" from a pet store.

I find mine would rather hide in plants than any rock cave type things I offer him. I have a couple of fake plants, I think they're lace plants, and my knife slides right in between the leaves of it and hangs out. Lately he never hides anyway though, he's always out cruising for chow. I heard they were shy, mine is not.

Mine isn't either, but I am going to get him a nice hiding place soon, just for kicks.

Thanks for sharing the info, all. I'm trying to build up my plant supply and along the way do some more aquascaping. He seems happy so far though.
