It's a fair price for a 55g, there are often better deal that I've seen but they are here in Colorado. Your market could be different.

sounds like a good deal to me

if it comes with the stand... sure, decent deal... a 55 gal with some random fish stuff and no stand... I wouldn't pay $100 for it...

I recently sold a 55 gal to a friend for $30... a while back I sold a 90 gallon to a friend for $90...

K i would have to ask if stand would come with it. I went to craigslist.com i am in Ohio. And there wasnt to much near me. This was a good one i found.

Patience is the key on Craigslist. Last month I picked up a 55 with HOB, heater, hood and lights for $25. Try the keyword search using fish, aquarium or gallon(one at a time) in furniture, general and household. My 25 dollar deal was found under household, not pets.
If it says best offer, lowball. Worst they can do is say no, they may even say no at first, but when the offer above you falls through, they may re-contact. I've had that happen. If you aren't too eager you can get amazing deals sometimes. Leaves you more money to stock it.

Sometimes it's best to wait a little while. I was searching for a couple of months for a 75 gallon on craigslist and kept seeing ones for 250-300 with stand. I contacted someone about one for 250 but before they even responded to me I found another one for 150 and contacted the guy and he was quick to respond and I got VERY lucky with that his had a AC 500 a large piece of drift wood in it wooden stand, Penguin 550 power head and it was still up and running until I went and picked it up. Made the cycle rather easy on it. The guy with the one for 250 finally responded and it was a 75 similar stand to the one I got and no filters just hood with a light.
