240 Gallon Fish Tank, Wood stand, 1 aqua clear 110 filter, 2 Marineland 300 Watt Heaters, 8 bags of Natural Gravel, 2 4ft perfecto light strips. Everything with the exception of the tank is brand new and never been used before. The gravel, filter, and heaters are all sealed in there original boxes.
I know thats not enough filteration for the tank so i would prob have to pick up a filter but do you guys think its a good deal? 1000 bucks for all that?

not the best, not the worst deal. cheaper then a LFS. u like it, buy it.

If it were me....maybe id offer 700-800 in light of the fact that theres not enough filtration......but that 240gal is still less than i payed for my 135gal....so i guess if he wouldnt come down in price....id get it for sure if i wanted one that big!

Notthe best or the worse deal in the world. I guess it depends on how much you like what you see and are going to use what he is selling. If you like it buy it. But try to talk him down a bit first.

Glass or Acrylic? For acrylic it's not the best deal but a fair deal. For glass it's way over priced.
not bad but I think if you wait some more you can find much better deal though it's not gona be that fast to look for a much better deal takes time and a lot of effort anyways good luck.

A lot depends on the QUALITY of the stand...The lighting is only so so....a 240 glass tank...even new is $450.00 an AC110 is all of 50.00 new...the heaters are middle of the road and only about 45.00 or so. There are wooden stands and then there is aquatic ferniture. is this solid wood? well finished and sealed? or is it compressed crap board over a 2x4 frame? is this just a stand or one with a matching hood?

A grand is a LOT to spend for a used tank but then prices vary with the location...here in SOcal I wouldn't give that deal much of a look.

It looks to be made of Glass the stand looks like its finished. looks like it has a few coats of polish on it. Wouldn't it be over 1000 just for a 240 gallon+ stand used? Around here i have trouble finding even a 125 gallon used for more then 300+ for just the tank not even with a stand the stands are usually 600. Not many fish stores around here who care large tanks i always get the 55 gallon tanks or smaller for the casual fish keeper :D.
