im looking to go bigger with my tanks how good of a deal am i looking at here?

that 70g set up seems like a good deal. the 135g does it come with anything or just the tank?

just the tank as far as i know i can ask the guy.

Have you seen pics of the first one? It says desk/drawer stand, it may not even be an actual stand. We bought a 125g like that where the person said "Oh, it's a stand it just looks kind of like a dresser, has a few knicks but it's fine" and when we got there it wasn't a stand, it was something that we haven't even identified yet...$200, wasn't worth it, but we drove so far it wasn't worth it to drive back without anything either.

70g for $320, even with a couple of filters seems like a pretty bad deal IMO. But I can only go by what kind of deals I can get around here. Our 75g with stand, a couple of filters and a light strip, plus misc. items was only $200. Our 90g was around $320 for two HOTmag filters with biowheels, a whole ton of gravel, hoods, lights, stand, decorations and some other misc. stuff, and it was brand new, the guy had never even set it up.

The 135g if it's tank alone nothing else is a bad deal too.

Like I said, I dunno what stuff runs there, but around here those aren't good deals at all.

You kind of need to look around and hunt around for deals and try to haggle with people, plus ask people in your own city what the going price for most used stuff is.

If I ask someone from SOCAL whether something here is a deal, when I know I can't really get it any cheaper, they'll usually say "Oh that's expensive" because used aquariums are so cheap there.

im in the middle or Oregon theres not many ppl around here with tanks of any size for any price unless i go to walmart and well i hate that place. my LPS we dont have anyplace just dedicated to fish its realy hard to find anything.

That might be a good deal then if there's no bigger cities within driving distance where there's used tanks commonly available.

If you are in the middle of "nowhere" - the best bet would be to compare the prices to your STORE prices. If they are comparable - go new. If the store is way higher, get these tanks you know...

thanks a bunch u guys probably saved me some money lol

4'x13x21 is a 55 gallon
6'x18x21 is a 125 gallon

Prices are average for new, but rather high for used.
