Hi all. New to arowana and want to make sure he has a good diet. Right now I am feeding it just mealworms and will buy hikari floating sticks soon. But other than this and live feeders idk what else is good. What do you other arowana keepers feed yours? This is bruiser.

I'd avoid the feeders and crickets. Crickets aren't bad, but your arowana might not want to try other foods if it gets used to eating crickets all the time. I feed hikari carnisticks as a staple and supplement with market prawn and cut up tilapia fillets.

ideally, your arow ould eat part insect, part fish, part pellets.

so it gets the full spectrum of protein
in the wild, they get all sorts of proteins.
and in those insects and fish, the guts contain various plants and vitamins.

i would say, and this is what i applied in the past.
morning feed pellets by hikari, if they eat p ellets, feed either insect in the evening or fish or prawns.
if theyd otn eat pellets, dont feed anything else.
or else they will get spoilt.
