Good digital camera for fish pics?

Hi all,

I was just trying to get some nice pictures of my fish but the camera I have (fujifilm 5.2 mega pixel) does not do the job at all. It is pretty old and I'd like to purchase a new camera that would also take great pictures of my fish without spending a ton.

Any suggestions??

Well I'm not too sure how much they range in price and don't know a whole lot about cameras in general. I was thinking between $300-$500 or less..lol

well DSLRs are the top choice for aquarium photography, pretty much any photography. you could easily get an entry level nikon or canon dslr in the $500 range

my nikon coolpix S51 seems to do a pretty terrible job at tank photography.

i still not played with the setting to much, but this is the quality you could expect.

How did you get your fish to stay so still???? Or are those pics so clear because of your camera?

Those are some good looking photos for a point and shoot.

I take a hell of a lot of pics. After feeding is a good time, when they get fat and lazy.

The camera has plenty options so its a big part of the equation.
