Hey guys I currently have a planted 120g growing out some nice Geos, I Have 4x wild Tapajós red heads, 3x Heckelii and x5 Geophagus Altifrons sp.

I am looking for a dither that won't nip the geos, or eat the plants. I don't care where in the world it comes from I'm just looking for something that will leave my stock and plants alone. Thanks

I use swordtails and mollies, they usually remain toward the surface, are quick, and their fry provide an occasional snack. They are also usually fast enough to stay out of the way from non-predatory types like eartheaters.

Thanks Duanes, They look really good, I like the subtle bluegreen colors. I actually do have some mollys and even some guppys in there but its a large tank and they seem to somewhat dissapear. I don`t have a particularly large amount of them though.

I was hoping for some kind of Danio, Cyprinid or Characin to add some movement and speed, My mollies that I do have tend to just forage amongst the plants and wood which is great but the amount of time they spend close together in the water column is very low

Could get away with black skirt tetras and the likes. Geos in my experience don't seem to be effected by dithers much. They seem to prefer to battle eachother quite a bit, without any nipped fins.

SDs will completely destroy live plants otherwise I would have considered them.

It`s not necasarilly to stop them from fighting, but more to create some movement in the open water column, the tank looks pretty empty at times, the geos are all playing very nicely together with the Tapajós redheads at the top of the food chain.

I was thinking Giant danios or Panda barbs maybe, The only reason I decide not to go with black skirts is because I have used them as my go to group of open water fish for the last few years, they are usually the first fish I will add to a tank when it is stable.

I've used Congo tetras, rainbows, and even hatchetfish with Jurupari/Leucosticta, steindachner and surinamensis. Eartheaters are extremely poor fisheaters so any fish that doesn't swim into his mouth will work.

I forgot to mention that I do have a jurapari also, I did consider rainbows too but the price puts me off a little, they seem to be really overpriced here for some reason.

Its not that there are certain things I can't keep with them, just that I don't want anything thats too aggressive or a plant eater.

I was thinking, panda barbs, Giant Danio, australian Rainbow, or possibly Columbian tetras.

I think i'm leaning more towards giant Danios for their activity, shoaling behaviour and subtle but nice colors
