Starting to see some aggression between my pleuro and the wolves. Surprisingly, the wolves are rather docile and peaceful; especially the Malas.

The two largest inhabitants: red aro and Cuban gar behaved really well and ignored the smaller fishes almost all the time.

The Oscar and PB do occasionally charge but didnt inflict any damages to others.

Had kept tinfoils, hooks and pacus as dithers before. Now wanting to try some different and lower bioload.

Any good recommendations from fellow MFKERS here?

On my list are:

Bat monos, small eartheaters and mahseers.

Masheer? Not sure of their bio load.
Edit: I didn't see you mentioned them lol.

Decided against longish body fishes after seeing what my wolves done to the Bala Sharks. :(

Don't think any mahseers will last long as dithers inside.

Will probably opt for mono, blue hooks (they are expensive here) and perhaps silver dollars.

Probably SDs, adult if able, are ur best choice. I assume they are cheap. I think bioload goes to the side until agression is better.

I don't think you're trying big enough fish, a lot of the dithers don't grow quite as fast so you have to try to get big ones or grow them out, if you're going to do bala Sharks you want them to be atleast 8 inches imo. If your gonna do SD probably 4-5 inches, masheers are longer bodied than both so atleast the 12" imo. You should try to get something smaller to grow out some fish that you want or wait till you see ones big enough. Otherwise you'll keep experiencing this with your wolves. I had to learn the hard way to. Only fishes ,one wouldn't eat that could be smaller were bichirs, other than that he ate it if it was more than 2" smaller ime.

Silver dollars are your best bet. I put a video a while back of my wolf trying to eat my wife bar silver dollar. Tl;dr, the wolf didn't succeed lol.

I got two tinfoils that are pretty large - 12 inches thereabouts today at a pretty good price. :)

Came across some big red mahseers but they cost like 15 times the tinfoils. LOL! Would rather use the money to get something as the "main" inhabitant of the tank.

Didn't want to risk further aggression while waiting for the perfectly sized and type of dither.

These two guys seem to be doing much better and started feeding (clearing) the mid water food waste that other fishes chewed and passed thru their gills. :)

Took some punches from the main aggressors but still swimming around with much spunk.

Pleuro giving them the evil eye. LOL!
