I'm getting a 75 gallon tank soon that i plan on having a reef. this is going to be my biggest tank yet, and i want to know what would be best for this setup.

Canister filters? or a sump (never used before)

Definitely a sump, it may take more time and effort to set up properly but once it is running, you'll see its benefits straight away over a canister filter.

How would those do?
What would be a good pump you think?

And were can i get a good priced 75 gallon bow front with a cornerflow box and stands?

(remember, im a newbie with sumps)

I'm a big fan of Marineland, not only do i like their appearance, but i how they operate.

The one i'm debating buying is just a tank with no drilled holes, and i dont feel like buying a over flow box, and it dosint have a stand that would be able to fit a sump. (the one they had it sitting on probably couldent house a canister)

DIY sump. LR filter.

eh, i'm not ready for DIY projects yet, only 16, don't have access to proper tools/materials.

Age shouldn't matter. I was 15 when I made my sump. It took about 70$. That was for bio media, hoses, silicone, mechanical media, sponges, and extras. It was for a 75 gallon tank. All you need is a glass cutter and a caulking gun, which are at Home Depot. They cost about $12 together.

I'd certainly recommend a pre-drilled/corner flow type tank over the overflow/u-tube siphon type. Less room for trouble and more attractive.

Yes, but i'm having the hardest time finding a 75 gallon bow front, with corner flow type, and black background, with a stand. digimarc.ms4.jpg

We bought this, thinking it was the whole deal, but AFTER i bought it i found the fine print that said the stand was not included. i looked and that site didn't even offer that stand. so i canceled the order.

do you know were i can get a stand like that?
