Are you looking for canisters or sump style filtration etc.? What are you looking to accomplish, more mech, more bio, sole filtration? I have a Lifeguard Aquatics FBF if your interested.

Good luck! :D

Well I am open to just about anything. Right now i am using to penguin 200's but they take a lot of space and my hood wont slide all the way back. So any suggestions? The tank has a breeding pair of gt's and one male convict

What kind of stand do you have ?? That will kind of tell if you have room for canister filters or sump/wet dry.. Is your tank glass or acrylic ?? just curious incase you want to drill it for over flows, but you can always use the boxes too.

IMO, under gravel filteration is the best. No drills, air pump, gravel plates, and some tubes.
run the pump above your tank, and or use hoses with water backup.

If you don't like that, go with Canister.
If you got $$$, Eheim is the best,, then Fluval FX5 is GREAT! or even a few smaller Fluval 405, 305s, Rena Filstar are decent, some people like 'em I hate them!

Stay away from Magnum filters, they are great for polishing, but the leak all over, until you get it primed. there are other off brand canister filters, but buy the best, and you won't have to buy another one. I'm a Fluval guy.

the Wet and Dry systems are great but if you are like me and hate the noise, you will not like the pumps, they are LOUD, even the best external pumps are loud. couple with having to monitor the water level every week.

Easiest thing for you is go with Canister. buy 2 Fluval FX5 :)

X2.. I'm a Fluval guy too, i have 2 FX5's on my 300 right now.
