good fishing in chicago

I used to fish at Edison, and Cal Park on Lake Michigan, but its been 10 years.

You can get salmon & trout from shore, in the spring & fall. Yellow perch & trout all winter too.

Powder Horn Lake on the South Side was always good for ice fishing. Bluegill, perch, crappie, and small pike were the usual ceatches. At ice out you can find the perch spawing, and the bluegill spawn was always good. I also caught a lot of black bullheads as it started to get dark. Its a forest preserve so you have to leave at dark.

Wolf lake can be good too, but it was eather a hit or miss for me. I've caught these fish from wolf lake: Northern Pike, walleye, tiger musky, yellow perch, bluegill, green sunfish, warmouth, black crappie, gizzard shad, carp, Rudd, black bullhead, brown bullhead, Yellow bullhead, pumpkinseed sunfish, redear sunfish, largemouth bass, & even coho salmon (used to be conected somehow to Lake Michigan) Also I've heard tales of sturgeon veen by the DNR.

Hope this helps,

Mike
