lately i've been going next to our property (abanodned) and catching some Brimm and huge minnows and feeding them to my RTC they are alot more beefier than feeders! any one else do this?
BTW i threw the minnow's in the small pond next doorlast year, i caught them in a cast net they are 4-6"!!:WHOA: obviously no preadatory fish in there...

i used to go fishing every once in a while and used to return with some barbs which look just like rosy barbs
these were the feeders i used to feed my RTCs and TSNs
now they eat dry shrimps

white bass are going to start running pretty soon were goin to keep some 10"er's and therow them in ther with the leftover minnows... then see how they are next year!!

I thought about the same thing. Still in planning to have a RTC or Hybrid. i have a 2 acre pond behind the house loaded with Bluegill. That would be a lot of free fillets for the catfish. Just wondering if that would be ok. I assume it would be.

yeah i've done that but from a creek you really should put them in a QT tank and treat for parasites

:iagree: that would be the safest.

i also agree if you want to feed live then treat for paracites. if you fillet it then you can put in frezzer but dont let it get totally frozen.still concidered fresh like sushi.i go to the local pond and catch crawfish and treat and feed, yummy!gl

i put a crawfish in my rtc'stank after purging him good!!:headbang2
