Hey all,
I have really come to love the 2 female Jack Dempsey's I've had for the last couple months. I really enjoy having them, but my only complaint being that it took me going to several different stores to find a couple specimens that were not deformed or generally undesireable. I know nearly all of you are aware that JD's are genereally overbread and as I've often heard it called ''genetically weaker" than most other aquaria fish. My question is; where online might I find quality breed Jack dempseys with overall good genes? sorry if this sounds ridiculous:)

jeff rapps will have only the best genetic quality..

I don't think I've seen him have any non EBJD or gold dempeys in stock for quite a while.

I had some really nice ones from Don Conkel. They looked real clean with a bright red chest. If you know any stores in your area that order from him, see if they can get them for you.

Overbread Jack Dempseys are usually shorter and a little bit more chubby, for most people they look normal, but if you have kept a normal JD you can see it. I have a JD. Its a little short but not as short as many other.
