Good growth for a beani?

I got my beani a year ago, it was about the size of a guppy. Its about 3" now.
I hear they grow at a medium rate. Is my growth average or under?

I 1st got my present group in Feb 2012, they were 1-1.5"

There are now 2 left, a male pushing 10" female 6+", the alpha male killed the rest, and the remaining pair have spawned twice. They are now separated by an eggcrate divider.

I do daily or every other day partial water changes, which I think have more to do with growth than anything else. About 20% in a 150 gal tank. I feed low protein spirulina based foods.
Temps between 68'F - 72'F

Thanks man. Just the info I was looking for.
Mine still looks like a juvie compared to yours. I keep him alone in a 55 gal, I feed him a varied diet.
I'm doing weekly water changes.
