Hey guys I have a 20 gallon thats 14" high that I've decided to get a skimmer for. I have no sump so it'll have to be a hang on back skimmer. I'm also planning to upgrade to a 40 gallon tank within time. Any suggestions on what to get?

ramoras are good lil over kill for a 20 or 40 but they work awsome for soome thing of this size i wuld look for a hob filter skimmer combo. i dont remember who makes either of them but here are the sites i use for buying my equiptment. www.marinedepot.com www.petsolutions.com and www.fosterandsmithaquattics.com hope this helps you decide.

You get what you pay for.... But getting a good deal and spending 300$ on a skimmer is retarded. The first one is your best bet. Its under 100 dollars and can go up to a 80 gallon tank

the coralife is your best bet, they are reliable too. I had one for a number of years before i junked it and got a bubbleking. Ive also used AquaC EV series, which are not hang on's but still made by Aqua C and they worked very well. The coralife spits a lot of bubbles at first until its dialed in, so dont be allarmed. I also replaced that foam insert with a filter bag, which i cut to fit. worked better for stoping the air bubbles.
