I was thinking about it. and fish such as gar that cant get too many nutrients and have to eat minnows. Put some fish food such as pellets with proper nutrition into the minnows mouth (ones that are frozen) which makes it a lot easier instead of gutloading the live ones just gutload the dead ones and it doesnt have the nutrients partially or completely digested. just giving a good idea.

I think you mean silversides. I've never heard of frozen fathead minnows. They do that for penguins, they insert vitamins into the fish they feed. I guess the same could be done with silversides...
Ya I see dead gar in the wild all the time.
I guess they starve to death regularly from the poor nutrition they get in the wild. I guess they never get past the juvi stages before starving to death from the poor nutrition.
