Hi,

I've got a pleco with an oscar, JD, firemouth and convict in a 42 gallon. My 130 gallon's coming this weekend. :headbang2

I've got a bit of algae growth on my rocks and plastic plants (lights on about 4 hours/day. No sunlight). Have been reading that plecos only eat algae when they're very small.

Is that true? If so, I will swap my pleco for a real algae-vacuum and annoint the newcomer as Chief Custodian.

So what eats algae as its main food source that will work with my fish? If it looks awesome to boot, then

No your best bet is to do the scrubbing yourself. You are the best cleaner and you won't cause excess waste.

i agree w/ that plecos really r messy fish and produce alot of waste. not so good for water quality
