Just got my 1st pleco, a 5" Royal (L-191). Have him in my 55g jaguar cichlid growout tank with 9 small jags ranging from 1"-3" to observe him a bit before i throw him in my 125g with my larger 10" Jag. What would be a good med or meds to dose the tank with that would be safe for him but make sure that he's clear of any parasites before throwing him in my bigger tank? Ive already seen some white stringy poop but dont know if thats normal for plecos or not since I've heard they're poop machines. He does have a nice size piece of mopani driftwood in there that he's been sucking on since i got him yesterday. Any other info or advice on these guys would be appreciated as well...
