Good morning sleepy head!

Well my baby argentine tegu woke up today basking in the dark. SO I wasn't sure if he even remebered me after sleeping for what 5 months? But after some re introduction procedures he is back to being a little sucker. Infact he is still very sleepy and fell asleep in my hand twice. I love these guys so much! Anywy here are a couple of pics. He is still dirty for obvious reasons.

I also wanted to mention how consistently amazed at how good these guys are at digging. He actually built a two layer burrow under his half log. He still won't eat for me though but I am confident his appetite will return very soon .

awesome. Tegus are cool animals. get some pics of that burrow that you are talking about! are you using a clay substrate? how is he able to get the burrow to hold?

I will get pics of the burrow tommorrow since he's gone under for the day. He had his 3hrs of sunshine. 10min out of the burrow and he's already acting ridiculous. I set up moss in his tank all neat and organized and he dragged it all over the cage then he stuffed it in one of his burrows.

That's awesome. The lizard looks very sweet, especially with it's head resting like it is in some of those pictures.
