Good news was that i finally got time off work, after being back only 2 weeks lol, and am heading up to my lake in NH to do some serious bass fishing with my cousin, bad news is there was a sewage leak in the area where our canoe is stored and cant get into the area ( e coli outbreak maybe?) its spose to clear out by monday, hopefully as we will be up there til wednesday
( and i just dropped a bunch of money on new equipment).

There will be alot of solid fish pictured in my return to MFK :naughty:
last year i caught 30 + ;mb over 5 pounds and maybe 5 lmb ing the 7-9 pound range, smallie fishing is unbelievable, jigging and tubing is the best way to go during the day catch a ton and schoolies at night, catching a fish every cast with topwater
pickerel in the 30-40" range caught sightfishing around fallen timber with oversized spinnerbaits and rapala husky jerks

fishing was actually pretty weak
weather was terrible only had one decent slot of time and fished the lake for 5 hours
mainly throwing tubes watermelon color, nailed maybe 30 smb in an hour with my cousin on the rock and ledge area, then fished some stumps, my cousin caught a LMB around 23-24" im guessing it was 8-9 pounds, the fish was really skinny so didnt weigh as much as it should have, also nailed some smallies on a big fallen tree all were in the 4 pound range, other wise fishing was weak, lots of pickerel maybe 20 biggest one around 38" average around 28" smallie average was around 2 lbs and lmb average around 3

Nice catches. A 38" pickerel though? Got any pictures?

You should be a tournament fisherman if you say you averaged 3lb LMB and 2lb SMB and call that weak. Id take five three pound bass in a tournament ANYDAY! Plus several 4 pound smallies in one trip?! Either you are WAY off on your estimates or you had an EXCEPTIONAL fishing trip!

Oh an a skinny 23-24" bass WILL NOT weigh 8-9pounds. A fat healthy 24" bass will weigh that.

well compared to what the fishing was the past few years it was a little weak, i had no pic's didnt have a camera with me, im going up next weekend again and will snap some pictures, averages are correct all smallies were very good sizes, i keep forgetting the size on the lmb my cousin kept trying to make it seem bigger than it was, still a very very nice fish though, not sunken belly but not real fat either maybe 7 pounds
pickerel grow very big in the lake as there is nothing that preys on it really, since htey breed before bass in general the fry outcompete bass, will try and get some pictures next week
fishing was also week because one of my best holes a 2 acre weed bed for lmb and a nice ledge in front was effected by the leak and only caught 2 lmb there ( usually i catch 8 fish easy out of the weeds averaging 4 lbs
