Good Ol Days Comin back??

I sure hope so, myself and 2 other friends are building in anticipation. My best friend just picked up 67 Nova yesterday, another working on a 64 Nova, and I've decided to put the Vega back on the street. Back in HS, we would do this 3 or 4 times a week, (often winning hundreds of $$) coming home at sunrise only to get ready for school. This street is about 20 mins from my house,

Cool man, my friend had a V8 vega where one header was fitted arround the a-arm. Another had a V8 pinto! I had a '67 camaro, everyday something broke on it. I sank a lot of money into that car only to sell it for the price of the center line rims that were on it. A sleeper nova would be really cool. Looks like granny's car, goes like a dragster.

That's the style header I have now, but I don't like it as it forces you to front mount the motor. When my friends and I started, another friend of mine had the perfect Nova sleeper, factory gold paint, factory hub caps, bone stock int, even the granny tissue dispenser on the rear shelf, but it went 11 Os all day long!! That's actually how we met, I think it only cost us a couple hundred dollars.

This was like our bible in HS, James Taylor and Dennis Wilson in 1971s Two Lane Blacktop. This opening shot was taken on one of Comptons most notorious streets Alameda, although now defunked, it brings back great memories. My friends and I made thousands on this street, (prob lost 1 or two also) We also raced with a lot of guys here, most of the guys with the Brotherhood vests.

Thats cool fats! I dunno squat about drag racing, I don't care too much for the dragster/funny car races, but I always appreciated the street classes.
