Hey all,

I've been lurking for a bit but am looking to find a reliable online site that sells good plants/floating plants, rocks, decor, for my tank of RB's. I was wondering what places have some nice stuff so I can get everything at once from a reliable site.

I'd appreciate any recommendations/advice as I'd love for my fish to be as comfortable as possible but make the tank as cool as possible also.

I'm starting about 3-4 babies in a 24g tank and them moving them to a 55g-75g as they get bigger.

Thanks in advance!
Joe

as far as plants go, i know that aquariumplants.com is a pretty good place to order from, just make sure that you pick plants that are gonna do well under your tank conditions, especially with lighting. as far as everything else goes, it's always better to buy in person. for decor, i usually just stick with driftwood and i like to shop around for nice pieces and sometimes i will just buy a nice piece when i see it to use in a tank down the road. i have tried ordering driftwood online and have never been 100% satisfied, if i order 5 or 6 pieces, maybe one of them will be something that i like. for a small tank like a 24 gal, i'd probably just use that to expermient with things and slowly buy things to decorate the bigger tank as you see stuff that you like. i have some pictures of my tank somewhere on this forum if you wanna get a better idea of what i'm talking about. it's really gonna boil down to what you want to do tho, do you want a natural looking tank or something more open?

Thanks for the advice Joe, I hear you on buying things in-person like decor. It's def hard to guage it by a picture online. I think I'll shop around town and see what I can come up with. I work really late so I tend not to have a lot of time to look around so I buy everything online most of the time, but will prob be better off seeing it with my own eyes this time.

yeah, like i said, aquariumplants.com is pretty good and ordering plants online is nice because they have tons of stuff that you probably won't find at your lfs, i'm actually thinking about putting an order in right now since it's on my mind. as far as the driftwood goes, you'll have a couple months to find stuff while the piranhas are growing out in the 24gal, which should give you plenty of time to find some nice unique stuff. if you decide to go with the 75 as opposed to the 55, you'll have alot more depth to work with so you're options should really open up.
