i have a standard 55 gal that i want to set up for my 28" red tailed boa. i also would have the 20 long that she is currently in. would it be possible to keep a tank inside of a tank? if so what about throwing a spare AC 30 filter on the 20 gal and setting it up inside the 55? i also have a 10 gal since the 20 seems like a tight fit... anyone ever try this? i had a 55 that i syliconed a divider on one time but i hated it and it was a real pain to remove... any input would be helpful (btw it is on a solid stand so im not worried about to much pressur isolated on one area)

why woudl you want to keep a tank inside a tank?

i want her to have as large a water bowl as possible and im trying to think of a non permanent way to have 1/2-2/3 of the tank water for her to swim/soak.

if you go and get a cat liter pan from petsmart or walmart or someplace like that, it will give your boa plenty of room to soak/ swim and it is easier to remove and clean and you would be abe to put something else in your 20 long.

I think it would be fine if you did what you are saying, I just do not think that it would be practical. Red tail boas do not need 50% water, just enough for them to submerge for a while before they shed.
