Good pair or fish for a 120 4x2

Just got my 120 set up its the 4 foot by 2 foot kinda... anyone have some cool fish ideas for a tank like that? I love central/south Americans for there behavior. Would like something active and funny to watch. Doesn't have to be a cichlid but my ph is like 8.8. Any ideas?
