I got a 4" ghostie earlier this week and he's eating bloodworms just fine (already willing to suck them out of my fingers!) but I was hoping to get him on some good pellets for more/better nutrition. Any suggestions? I took a look at the Hikari sinking carnivore pellets at the LFS but they look like they might be too big for his (currently) tiny head.
Thanks in advance!

i have had good luck with hikari food sticks...my ghosts have taken to it well...you could break them up into smaller bits for the knife to eat...if it doesn't take to them at first keep tring and it should take them after some time...just offer them with the blood worms...

Thanks, I'll try that

Hikari works for me as well. You can use the Cichlid pellets since they come in various sizes.

Oh cool, so the cichlid formula is okay? Tha's good news :)

BGK have surprisingly big mouths... I fed my 3" bgk hikari carnivore (still do) and he is now 7" within a couple months! Hikari carnivore pellets get soft really quickly, so he can just take bites out of it--that's what mine does.
I wasn't even trying to get mine on pellets, I was feeding these to some other fish in the tank and noticed he loves them. I also feed him frozen bloodworms every other day.
Go for the carnivore pellets! Really high in protein.

I would try wardley shrimp pellets. mine eats those even though she is too big for them( they are for my bumblebee cat but she doesn't know that.) mine eats whole krill because of her size.

My juvie CK gets sinking carnivore, bits of crushed Massivore, and also bits of fresh cut fish / shrimp that the other fish dont get. They do have suprisingly big mouths.

another great pellet that rivals Hikari is the Omega One shrimp pellets, mine loves them and i usually feed him those and blood worms and everynow and then Mysis Shrimp or beefheart (a varied diet is best XD)
