i think you're thinking of caulerpa.. i'm not sure if it's legal to get where you re.. i know california has banned it i don't know about the rest of the west coast..

there's also chaetomorph.. either way you put it in you sump, let it grow and eat up nitrates, then trim it back once it get's too large

Right!!!!
I think I gotta get a sumpo first!
Plus I have seemed to get my nitATES in check now!!
one day from fix got down to >40 going to do another water change on tuesday and put some argointe sand in ! (got rid of the crushed coral)

And the bakpak skimmer is working great! (just got it a week ago!)

did you drain the tank before removing the CC?
i hope so and i would drain it to add the aragonite as well

How would a guy do that without a new "cycle"??
or just pull al water out and live rock and put all same water back in with live rock and sand?

you mean like take the water out and keep it in like a coupld buckets or something and then put it back?

you could do that

but if the live rock is already cured, it'll be fine as long as it stays wet

if it isn't cured yet it'll continue to cure even with new water

if you feel like doing the extra work to keep the water (save some $$ on salt and water) go ahead, it makes little difference
