Any good plants you guys recommend in your sump that actually serves a good purpose ?
Is it okay to keep a fry or 2 in the sump just till they grow out or does it make the water quality bad

i have a variety of low light plants in my sump as well as several fish. my water is not impacted by them and the plants really help with nitrates

Oh nice That's a big sump then sounds awesome

Thanks, I have it split into three sections so the pumps don't get gummed up. I am using poret foam as dividers. I had five sections but the big earthquake we had a while back sloshed them loose and my scuds got devoured so I never put them back on the edges
